Poodle (White) Dog Breed Specific Sign
The poodle continental clip you see in dog shows is often misunderstood as being frou-frou and bizarre. But it is not done so as to make the poodle into some canine version of Lady Gaga - in fact, the clip is a reference to the breed's water retrieval origins. The much maligned clip is so that the dog won't get hampered in water due to a heavy coat. The chest, vital organs, and joints were left covered to protect the dog from the cold. The strange looking topknot was so that the owner could tie a colored ribbon on, to help him identify his dog from a distance when it worked in the water.
And if you know someone who already knew the above, then they'll probably like this cute Poodle sign!
